Who can despise the day of small beginnings
The Berachah Church was started in 1978 in a simple chicken coop in the city of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. From a humble fellowship it grew as a mission organization with the aim to serve the people of India. We have now defined three areas of the ministry as the pillars of our church- Establishing Community of believers, Equipping Leaders, Empowering the Poor. Berachah church aim to promote holistic missions in Northern India.
Our activities include providing holistic training for development of leadership qualities and serving the community in various ways. Our ministry is rooted in the Great Commission statement (Matthew 28:19-20).
We have no income generating programs and we subsist on donations. Our social activities are focused on the overall development of society, especially for those belonging to the economically weaker sections. We provide primary and non-formal education to children who otherwise do not attend schools, scholarships and other educational assistance, relief work, conducting of vocational training, giving marriage counselling, free wheel chairs and medical treatment etc.
